There are 36 Haritha Karma Sena members serving in 19 wards in Kavalangad Grama Panchayat. A main MCF of 1200 square feet is functioning in the second ward at Perumannur. Four to five mini MCFs have been installed in each ward. The members of the Haritha Karma Sena start work by the 5th of every month and not less than 80% of the service is provided every month. There are 7454 houses and 838 institutions in the panchayat. Approximately Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh are received as Usufiya from these institutions and houses.
